General Features Floating ball valves

As ball valves answer a very wide range of applications, the industry has developed a number of OPTIONS which are designed to answer specific operational needs.

CAM Valves Sales department and Engineering are available to discuss with the customers which option should be used in accordance to the operational conditions of the valves purchased.

Hereunder we present the most common options.

FLOATING SEAT RING

FLOATING SEAT RING

Sealing system is made of a soft seat ring which seals against the ball by means of a resilient insert and against the body by an o-ring. The

resilient insert is firmly retained into a groove of special shape.

PRIMARY E FIRESAFE GASKET

PRIMARY E FIRESAFE GASKET

Primary and secondary gaskets (firesafe) may be provided in various materials and shapes, according to the pressures and service conditions.

ANTISTATIC DESIGN

ANTISTATIC DESIGN

Internal parts that are insulated from the body may build up a static electric charge. When service conditions require electrical continuity to prevent static discharge, this is ensured by the adoption

of coil springs between body, ball and stem.

ANTI BLOW-OUT STEM

ANTI BLOW-OUT STEM

The design of the valve ensures that the stem cannot be blown out of the body, in the event of the gland being removed while the valve is under pressure.

DOUBLE STEM SEALING

DOUBLE STEM SEALING

Stem sealing are made of two sealing barriers, O-ring, trust washer and packing ring.

LOCKING DEVICE

LOCKING DEVICE

Locking facilities to prevent accidental operation of the valve.

STEM EXTENSION
